Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring for my rabbit’s stay?/ What is included?

We require you to bring a number of things in order to ensure your rabbit has a comfortable stay. Please check out our printable checklist - linked on our homepage.

We include nail trims and light grooming as needed with every BnB stay!

What is your cancellation policy?

Currently, we only require a small deposit as well as our signed form in order to hold a spot for your pet. Our clients have all been amazing, and we’ve historically only had a few cancellations and all the reasons have been 100% out of the owner’s control. If this does become an issue, we will have to change our policy. We reserve the right to ask for a larger deposit at any time.

How do you prevent the spread of disease, illness or mites between rabbits?

I pride myself in ensuring that the BnB is a clean and safe environment for all pets. There are a number of ways I do this both in my grooming business, and for BnB stays.

BNB STAYS:

We use plastic barriers in between each pen to ensure that while the bunnies can see each other, they can’t interact, bite or fight between the bars. These plastic barriers are wiped down between each client, as well we wipe down all the xpens with a microfibre cloth at the end of each stay before they are put away.

After each guest stay the floors are spot cleaned with either a double strength cleaning vinegar, or another pet-friendly solution depending on the level of dirt. The floors are then mopped with a bleach and water solution and let air dry. We ensure proper ventilation while this is done, especially if there are other rabbits still enjoying their stay.

One of the reasons we require you to bring your own litterbox is also because it helps prevent the spread of viruses that can be passed from rabbit to rabbit. E. Cunniculi is spread through the urine, feces or other bodily fluids of an infected rabbit. When we do suspect a case of E.C., we notify all the rabbit owners promptly, and advise on what can be done in order to treat their rabbit.

All bowls, hidey houses, toys, etc are thoroughly washed between each rabbit use. We do NOT allow items to be shared between rabbits during the stay, unless they are from the same household. If you wish to bring your own bowls, toys, hides we will of course use yours, however we do keep some on hand.

GROOMING:

When I’m grooming rabbits, I ensure all tools are cleaned and sanitized prior to use. Which includes razors, scissors and brushes as best as possible.

I use a grooming grade disinfectant on all tools for a thorough clean, but I also wipe down nail scissors with rubbing alcohol between use.

If I use a blanket to hold your rabbit, I change the blanket each time I handle a bunny from a new household.

Can my rabbit play with the other rabbits?

No, your rabbit cannot play or interact with other rabbits who are not in the same household (and who are unbonded, unless you have asked me to bond them during their stay). Rabbits are territorial creatures and can often be aggressive towards meeting other rabbits. All bonding and introductions must be very slow, and carefully monitored. We also enforce this rule to avoid the spread of illness or disease.

Are your services insured?

We are fully insured for all services, including professional liability coverage for grooming. Our current provider is Zensurance.
